Innocenti Vini

About the farm

Land and Wine

In a setting of rare beauty, the Farm Innocenti grows 8 hectares of vineyards on gentle hills at 350m s.l.m. and about 1000 olive trees on 4 hectares. All the plants are made in full respect of the ecosystem, to which they integrate perfectly without altering its natural balance.
In the vineyards, the undisputed protagonist is Sangiovese, an autochthonous grape that gives life to the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino.
To complete the range, small plots of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, from which is born a IGT Toscana with evocative name: Vignalsole.
In the olive grove, instead, are grown four Tuscan varieties for excellence: Frantoio (or Correggiolo), Moraiolo, Leccino and Pendolino, which give extra virgin olive oil a fruity and intense taste, typical of the territory.

a
Land

The clay soil provides a gradual water reserve, optimising supply for vines. Favourable exposure and constant ventilation promote the full development of the clusters

s
Weather

The Mediterranean climate favours a homogeneous and progressive ripening of the grapes, guaranteeing ideal conditions for the optimal development of the phenolic and aromatic characteristics of the fruit

s
Protection

Mount Amiata, in the background, acts as a natural barrier for the vines, effectively protecting them from adverse weather events such as hail and sudden storms

s
September

With the arrival of the second half of September, the hills come alive with the harvest. The grapes, carefully picked by hand, are transferred to the winery for the vinification process that will give rise to new vintages of Innocenti wines
